The formerly two story apartment complex buildings near East 20th St. were reduced to twisted piles of unrecognizable debris. Daniel Winter had just finished vacuuming and cleaning the house when the roof blew off. Paula Dedick's home was destroyed, and talked about a lucky friend who had sold her house one month earlier. Brandi Rogers, the owner of this house, had more than just this to worry about;  both places of her employment were also destroyed. Aerial view #2, Tuesday evening, May 31, 2011 Hundreds of cars still remained in the parking lot of big box stores where the winds had dropped them, remnants from a Sunday shopping trip. Lisa & Chris Dunn sift through the remnants of their home amidst sections of roofing from the high school that wrapped around their trees. With major cell towers destroyed and a myriad of calls clogging the network that remained, the circle marks the spot where service was found. Pepsi Plant, May 30, 2011, 8 days after the tornado.  The only room left standing was a safe room built to withstand a tornado.  A fishing boat was wrapped around a tree in a devastated residential neighborhood. A refrigerator leaned agoinst the exterior wall of a bathroom. Amidst a sour soup of twisted metal, broken 2x4 framing & wet plaster, the bathroom was the only thing to remain standing after the tornado. A house that was blown off its foundation during an 8 minute tornado.  A television and entertainment center found splattered with mud in a vacant house.
